Android’s “Do Not Disturb” Is Way Better Than iOS

iPhones and iPads have a Do Not Disturb mode which silences calls, alerts, and notifications while the device is locked. It can also restrict who can call you, and the mode itself can be enabled/disabled according to a schedule.
Android has something called Priority Mode, which blocks notifications from certain apps when enabled, but that’s it. It’s not as good as Do Not Disturb though, which is why Android users should install the Do Not Disturb app as soon as possible.

Like the iOS mode, the Do Not Disturb app silences calls, alerts, and notifications whenever it’s enabled — but it also does so much more.
The most noteworthy feature is that it pulls calendar data and auto-enables during events. Both Google Calendar and Microsoft Exchange are supported. Then again, you can also manually program Do Not Disturb with unique day and night schedules for each day of the week if you prefer.
This means your Android device will never bother you by surprise again. It also has several other features — like Respond via SMS or Whitelisted Contacts who are ignored when DND is enabled — which make it way more flexible than its iOS counterpart.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes. Combine it with these destressing Android apps to ensure a better night’s sleep.

Battery dying too soon? Find 3 great ways to extend your phone's battery life

Battery dying too soon? Find 3 great ways to extend your phone's battery life

An android device might slow down due to many reasons. However, there are few simple ways to tweak the speed of your device.

You can disable the unwanted widgets. Press and hold on to a particular widget and drag them to the bin.

You can move certain apps to SD card and free up the internal memory, thereby speeding up your device. Install the AppMgr app by going to http://bit.ly/1gLSqWU

Sometimes the device may have unnecessary memory allocated which may slow down the system speed. You can check how much space you are left with by going to Settings -> Device -> Storage.

You will get a list of all the running apps and the amount of memory occupied by them. This should give you a fair assessment of the unnecessary apps in your device.

Next Go to Settings -> Device -> Apps and uninstall the unnecessary apps

Downloaded, backup files and files received via Bluetooth use up internal memory and can be removed to speed up your android phone

Go to File Manager -> Internal Memory -> Downloads
File Manager -> Internal Memory -> Backup
and delete the unwanted files or move them to SD card.

File Manager -> Internal Memory -> Bluetooth

To do so Go to: Setting -> Device -> click on individual apps and click on 'clear cache'.

Many of the apps you have installed use data caches which may slow down your android phone. You can relieve memory spaces by erasing cache data.
You can also disable the apps that came pre-loaded on your phone, but you really don’t use them.

Go to Settings -> Device -> Apps -> (select the pre-installed app) -> disable
