Download Google Duo For Simple, Free Video Calling That Connects Everyone

A new video calling app lets you chat with your friends on Android or iPhones just as easily as FaceTime.

FaceTime rules on iPhone but until now Android folks have found video calling way more complicated.

Now Google is trying to change that with a simple, free app called Google Duo that lets you make video calls to both Android and iPhones. I highly recommend you download and use it since it will allow you to connect with your friends, no matter what phone they are using.

Keep in mind you will both need to install the app – sign up is super simple. All you need is your phone number. No Google account or third party account necessary. It can’t get much simpler than this.

Also, I've noticed that the video quality on Duo is better than FaceTime. Google says it has worked to make your video calls look great whether you're on WiFi, cellular or a combination of both.

Finally, some of you are still on cellular plans that don't allow "FaceTime over cellular" and Google Duo will help you get around this limitation. Just keep in mind if you are not in a WiFi coverage zone Google Duo video calls will use your mobile data plan.

Champ One C1 smartphone another one at unbelievable Rs. 501

Here is another handset called the Champ One C1 a quad core powered that will be available for just Rs.  501. A new company Champ is following the same path that Ringing Bells did with the Freedom 251 handset.

Be careful before you fall into this ultra low cost smartphone trap, it could be a scam. The company already has their website functional and there they have listed the Champ One C1 handset with MRP price of Rs. 7,999 but you can get it for only Rs. 501 – well another text says “only for our existing customers”.

Only existing customers are eligible for the flash sale and for becoming a customer you need to register, buy Champ1 Clean master subscription for Rs. 51, you will get a serial number and you can use that for the flash sale.

The company is also facing technical issues with payment gateway and hence they will be following COD (cash on delivery) method and no online payment will be accepted (as mentioned on their site). The Champ One C1 flash sale is on 2nd September 2016 from 11 AM onwards.

This is a dual SIM handset powered by 1.3GHz quad core processor  MediaTek MT6735 running Android 5.1 over a 5 inch IPS screen with 720p resolution. There is 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. The back camera is of 8MP resolution and front camera is a 5MP shooter.

Other features of Champ One C1 are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, finger print sensor, WiFi and GPS. This handset houses a 2500 mAh battery.

Specifications look good but Champ One C1 for Rs. 501 sounds, unreal.

LG today launched their latest LG X Cam smartphone in India. The X Cam comes with dual cameras packed on the back to capture 53% more area that traditional smartphone cameras. This handset is powered by octa core processor and price in India is Rs. 19,990.

This dual SIM smartphone is running Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box over a 5.2 inch screen with in-cell display supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by octa core processor clocked at 1.14GHz coupled with Mali T720 GPU.

When WhatsApp updates, you'll have to agree to its terms of service all over again, but before you tap agree, you can read more and opt out of sharing your information.

1. Launch WhatsApp from your home screen or the app drawer.
2. Tap the upward arrow in the bottom right corner to read more.
3. Tap the checkbox to opt out of sharing your information with Facebook.
   

If you go looking for the Share my account dataoption in your settings afterward, it won't be there, since you've already opted out.

If you've already tapped "Agree", you can still opt out:

1. Launch WhatsApp from your home screen or the app drawer.

Now you're opted out and Facebook isn't getting your phone number, and won't share any information with its parent company to influence the ads you see.

Samsung Mobiles today launched another handset running Tizen OS, the Samsung Z2 priced at Rs. 4,590. This handset is powered by quad core processor; sports a 4 inch screen and support 4G with VoLTE.

Coolpad along with LeEco together have launched a new handset the Cool1 in China. The key highlight about the Cool1 handset is it comes with dual 13MP cameras on the back. Cool1 price starts from RMB 1099 (approx Rs. 11K).

Samsung Galaxy Note7 will be officially launched today in New York and the same will be officially launched in India on 11th of this month. Samsung has sent out invites for the 11th August launch event scheduled in New Delhi.
