Reliance LYF website got two new handsets listed in the Water series – the Reliance LYF Water 4 and the Reliance LYF Water 6. The Water 6 handset is priced at Rs. 8,999. This is a dual SIM handset powered by qualcomm snapdragon 410 quad core processor.

Reliance LYF Water 6 features and specifications

As mentioned the LYF Water 6 is a dual SIM handset and both the SIM slots support 4G with VoLTE. Inside the hood there is the qualcomm snapdragon MSM8916 410 quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU.

Water 6 sports a 5 inch screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Screen comes with Asahi Dragon trail glass protection. There is 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. A 13MP AF camera is packed on the back with flash and a 5MP camera on the front. FHD video recording and play back is supported.

 Key features are 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1. The 2920 mAh battery gives up to 15 hours talk time.

A new tablet called the Lava X80 has been launched by lava Mobiles for a price tag of Rs. 9,999. The X80 is powered by Intel Atom processor, sports a 8 inch screen and comes with 3G support (calling via earphone).

REDMI OS MIUI 8 Global Beta rolled out download now

Good news for those waiting for the MIUI 8 OS, the Global Beta ROM has been rolled out, you will need to manually install the ROM. For now the MIUI 8 Beta supports Redmi Note 3G, Note 4G, Note prime, Redmi 2 and Mi Max (32GB).

Do note this is the beta version not the final version, you might face some issues. If you are not comfortable, ignore this and wait for the final version that will be via OTA automatic update. If you want to try and know what you are doing go ahead and experience the MIUI 8 before everyone else.

What’s new in MIUI 8

Apart from new sets of animation, color and interface the MIUI 8 comes loaded with a lot of new features. Users can now add music and special effects to videos that they just recorded. Scrolling screenshots is another interesting feature wherein users can take screenshots not just of what they see on the screen but 2 of more screen (pages) below.

Then there is Dual Apps feature that allows users to have 2 accounts on the same phone for any app – for example you can have dual accounts for Facebook, WhatsApp, twitter etc.

The MIUI 8 Global developer ROM version 6.7.5 can be downloaded from the miui.com forum. You will also find the instructions on how to install them on respective devices.

Samsung today launched the Galaxy J2 2016 and the J Max

Samsung today launched the Galaxy J2 2016 (new addition in J series) and the J Max handset in the Indian markets for Rs. 9,750 and Rs. 13,400 respectively. J2 is a smartphone sporting a 5 inch screen and the J Max is a tablet sporting a 7 inch screen with 4G support.

This handset is using Spreadtrum SC8830 chipset its quad core clocked at 1.5GHz with Mali 400 GPU. Android Marshmallow 6.0 runs the show with 1.5GB  on board RAM and 8GB of internal storage. This is a dual SIM handset that also comes with a microSD card slot (32GB max).

Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 sports a 5 inch super AMOLED screen supporting 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. On the back there is an 8MP AF camera with LED flash and on the front there is a 5MP camera.

Reliance drops price of some LYF Smartphones to 2999 for 4G

In an unexpected move Reliance had dropped prices of several LYF smartphones. These smartphones carry a 2 years warranty and users get Unlimited 4G via the Jio Networks for 3 months.

What's the difference between deactivating and deleting my account?

You can deactivate or delete your account at any time.

You may deactivate your account for any number of temporary reasons. This option gives you the flexibility to leave and come back whenever you want. If you deactivate your account:

• People won’t be able to see the information on your Timeline on Facebook.
• People on Facebook will not be able to search for you.
• Some information, like messages you sent, may still be visible to others.
• We save the information in your account (ex: friends, photos, interests), just in case you want to come back to Facebook at some point. If you choose to reactivate your account, the information on your profile will be there when you come back.

If you permanently delete your account:

• You will not be able to regain access to your account.
• Some of the things you do on Facebook aren’t stored in your account. For example, a friend may still have messages from you even after you delete your account. That information remains after you delete your account.
• It may take up to 90 days to delete all of the things you've posted, like your photos, status updates or other data stored in backup systems. While we are deleting this information, it is inaccessible to other people using Facebook.
• Copies of some material (ex: log records) may remain in our database for technical reasons. When you delete your account, this material is disassociated from any personal identifiers.

You can deactivate your account temporarily and choose to come back whenever you want.

To deactivate your account:

1. Click the account menu at the top right of any Facebook page
2. Select Settings
3. Click Security in the left column
4. Choose Deactivate your account then follow the steps to confirm

If you deactivate your account your profile won’t be visible to other people on Facebook and people won’t be able to search for you. Some information, such as messages you sent to friends, may still be visible to others.

If you’d like to come back to Facebook anytime after you’ve deactivated your account, you can reactivate your account by logging in with your email and password. Your profile will be restored in its entirety (ex: friends, photos and interests). Remember that you'll need to have access to the login email address for your account to reactivate it.

To permanently delete your account:
